about

Full of joy and delight this is the last work of 2005. It's the 24th Bodycocktail release of that year in the second year running at that pace. Only 1996, a year full of love, girlfriends and, love lost, was Bodycocktail at "peak" productivity of twelve hours of new songs in a year.

"In the Devil Is The Details" is one of a set of examples where I take Charlie Newman poetry and reconfigure it to become Bodycocktail lyrics... this is rather an interesting adventure in itself. Initially his poems were written in a manner could conform rather straight-forward into lyrics. But after a while transformations were needed.

Earlier I was working through his poem-a-day "Millennium Rags" book but around this time an era opens where modifying Charlie's works becomes more of the norm than leaving them alone.
