Melodica madness my friends! My inspiration was in full swing and the unique phrasings possible with this instrument that I bought at a second hand store in A Coruña allowed me to evoke things I'd never done before.

Trust me when I say this is an exciting place to be when you have a project that has over 140 releases. At Bodycocktail #68 came the arrival of a natural sounding drum machine built into a Tascam Portastudio 5 (circa 2004). Having a confident backbeat allowed Bodycocktail songwriting to take on confidence never possible previously.

Furthermore by the #140's Bodycocktail is embarking on a series of yearly tours of Spain and other parts of Europe. A number of instrumentals show my interest in stretching beyond the range of songs that I could play live to show the "feasibility" of instrumental arrangements that were a slightly experimental.

The cover of my Argentine friends' Farmacia's song "Nada De Nada" proved to be one of the most popular songs I perform live. It attracted the attention of my Norwegian drummer Skjit-Lars and a version of it appears on our 1st LP "Bodycocktail Starring Skjit-Lars ~ Shoving Icebergs".

The release title is a sarcaustic jab at a modern slogan that Louisville, the ever dreaming city I live in, adopted "Possibility City".

Since 1993 Bodycocktail has been the proto-new wave project of Zan Hoffman. Considered "Kentucky's Punk Crooner" by his Galician fans in the northwest of Spain, Bodycocktail produced over 200 releases in their 1st 20 years.
