There's a certain perkiness... lightness and air... that color the the spring 2006 Wallace Stevens-era Bodycocktail songs. For a few releases I stepped back from the intensity of the Charlie Newman poems and switched back to Wallace Stevens as a source of lyrics. There perhaps is a refined air to the works with his mellifluous use of the English language.
