The companion work to Bodycocktail #136 P.O.D. this release also features an instrument that is at once my newest studio addition and the oldest instrument on Bodycocktail releases: Thorp Wolford's 1876 pump organ.

These songs, sometimes called my "sailor songs" by my Galego fans in NW Spain, feature only one instrument because the pump organ is ever so slightly flat (uniformly, fortunately) and doesn't play well with others. I later was able to take my Zoom H4N recorder and lift the pitch incrementally to allow for it to be used with electronic and other instruments not retuned.

The 130's is a really strong era for Bodycocktail... confident instrumentals, bold vocals and satisfying rhythms finally come together. A number of these songs make it to set lists for live tours of Spain of 2007 and 2008. As long as I don't dwell too long it's often a thing of strength to restrict my instrumentation on specific releases. The Pump Organ era is one that was one more of the organic eras using wind-driven keyboards and driving out the ever present synths to show how these songs work upon your soul with another range of instrumentation than usually found on Bodycocktail releases.
