Pump Organ Dreams! When everything falls into place one must celebrate and here's a glorious story. I walked up to a conversation between old man Thorp Wolford and his dining companion my Boy Scout pal Chip Hancock's old man and Thorp was lamenting that he was having trouble ridding of something 'with one broken key".

The likelihood of a key relating to a musical instrument I stepped in, uninvited, to enquire the subject which turned out to be a pump organ which I immediately showed interest in. Mr. Wolford asked my schedule and as I was explaining the weeks shifts he asked what I was doing TODAY. Striking while the iron is hot I ride my bike to investigate during my break I was excited to find a fully functioning pump organ from the 1870s whose 1st life was in a church in Crestwood, a rural area outside Louisville.

Of two people who could possible help me with a move of this nature, my friend Rude, an old neighbor, was in the area with a paper delivery truck and lickety-split on a lunch break I rescued a new studio instrument. One thing I found out later is the whole thing is incrementally flat and doesn't work well with other instruments not tuned to it.

This is my 1st release that exclusively features Thorp Wolfword's pump organ. In the midst of recording this release Louisville was struck by the remnants of Hurricane Ike which knocked out power for nearly two weeks. In a lo-fi way i was able to crank out a few pump organ songs which are spread across this release.

Gloriously woven into this release is collaborations with a delightful range of friends of mine who live overseas, Tina Gil and the band Elbis Rever from Spain and Wilson Tsang who resides in Hong Kong.

Of special note are two works "Nipping" and "We(')ll" which were part of Bodycocktail's 2008 live set list in Spain. These have become crowd favorites, are often requested, and form part of a body of my work that my Galego fans call my "sailor songs'.
