Look at the color of that river! The crazy nature of Fragas Do Eume before someone set fire to this glorious nature preserve of Galicia was a beauty spot my generous hosts couldn't keep to themselves. The lichen everywhere was slowly driving me crazy. My Galego hosts and friends endless sweetness was planting my heart in Galicia until years later it was so fully rooted I just had to come back for it each visit.

The melodica photographed in "Lost In Sound" is driving the sound here ~ I'm always curious when I take the most mundane instruments and apply modern effects and pop techniques to transform the nature of how songs feel. Wind driven keyboards have really exciting compositional potential, in this instance in phrasing, that I never had before. So I'm stretching as an artist here, trying on different options to keep a project on it's 140th release fresh.

Galicia is not just pictured on the cover but it is slowly become a raison d'etre of Bodycocktail's existence as it's providing me with a steady stream of opportunities to do my best work. It's slowing coming to me that making my audiences happy is about the best thing I can be doing and here's my best tool for that sort of activation.

Since 1993 Bodycocktail has been the proto-new wave project of Zan Hoffman. Considered "Kentucky's Punk Crooner" by his Galician fans in the northwest of Spain, Bodycocktail produced over 200 releases in their 1st 20 years.
